Seeking Chief Executive Officer 

Opportunity: Located about 20 miles southwest of Zanesville, this respected Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) providing quality residential and day services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is embarking on an ambitious strategic initiative to expand its reach into and beyond Perry County, Ohio. To implement the plan, the Board of Directors has created a new position of CEO whose duties extend beyond accountability of the 125 employees and $3MM budget to include external relations and fundraising. Day-to-day operations of the 55-acre campus and staff are managed by an experienced Administrator allowing the CEO to be externally focused nurturing relationships and building new partnerships and opportunities for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Profile of the CEO: The successful candidate will bring commitment to the individuals served, their families and guardians and an understanding of complex policies of state and federal funders. The new CEO will be a politically astute leader with the ability to set clear priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making. He or she will bring demonstrated nonprofit leadership experience raising friends and funds; an understanding and appreciation of the cultures of the region; and a creative and strategic visionary spirit who thinks “out of the box.” The new CEO will bring experience working with board and other volunteers in leadership and resource development. Exemplary communications, presentation, and coalition building skills essential as is a college degree in a related field. 

Highlights of position description: Strategic vision and leadership - Nurture a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board and ensure open communication about the measurement of financial, program, and impact performance against stated milestones and goals. 

Development - Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing, branding, and development and fundraising strategies that will ensure consistency throughout the organization and enhance revenue from diverse sources. Strengthening infrastructure and operations - Support and provide encouragement and recognition to The Mount’s compassionate and dedicated employees, Board, and other volunteers who serve the residents, their families and guardians.
