Position:  DIRECTOR OF ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION AT THE HIGH SCHOOL

District:  North Ridgeville

Salary:  Based on experience

Qualifications:  Valid State of Ohio license to practice as a high school administrator

Proven experience in student relations, staff relations, community relations, curriculum and instruction, and leadership and organization skills

Additional Information:  The North Ridgeville High School serves approximately 1,200 students including those attending the Lorain County Joint Vocational School. The academic programs are designed to prepare students for college, technical school, or employment following graduation. To complete the 22 credits required for graduation, students may choose from course offerings in Art, Business, Computer Skills, Family and Consumer Science, English, Foreign Language, Health and Physical Education, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, Music, Science and Social Studies. Special Education, Remedial Assistance and Vocational Education are also available for students as is a full range of student services. The High School administrative team consists of one principal, two assistant principals and the director of alternative education.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Support, enhance and implement the goals of the district
Assist in motivating staff members in improving their skills and educational program
Support and enhance effective student discipline and attendance policies
Assist in the evaluation of the performance of teachers
Provide effective communications with students, staff and community to enhance the image of the school
