Salary: The West Muskingum Local School District will offer the successful candidate a multi-year contract. The salary and benefits will be competitive within the region and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The West Muskingum Local School District Board of Education is searching for a leader with a passion for educating children, a student-centered philosophy, proven leadership capabilities, excitement about the district’s future, honesty and integrity, and superior communication skills. Candidates must have a strong background in public school administration, be committed to the highest personal and professional standards, and demonstrate that he or she:
• is a leader who is passionate about and committed to student success;
• is a good listener who can process points of view from multiple perspectives and use data to make decisions;
• can facilitate a culture of trust and high expectations, engage in self-development, facilitate conflict management, anticipate problems, demonstrate entrepreneurial skills, and model high ethical and professional behavior;
• is a sound financial manager, able to balance the legal, judicial, and financial requirements of the district with the needs of the students and desires of the community;
• has a proven record of effectively communicating verbally and in writing to all school district stakeholders;
• can embrace a vision, emphasize continuous improvement, and develop a focused plan for achieving district goals;
• has a willingness and is able to build positive relationships with all school district stakeholders;
• is a visible leader in the school district and community.
